The Next Inning

What It Is:
The Next Inning is a 6-week on-the-job training program designed to help athletes and volunteers at Casey’s Clubhouse develop real-world skills. During each season, participants will learn and master the skills needed for their assigned roles. These skills can be applied when seeking jobs outside of Casey’s Clubhouse.

Requirements to Apply:
  • Must be an active player or volunteer at Casey’s Clubhouse.
  • Must be at least 16 years old.
  • Available to work on weeknights, Saturdays, or Sundays.
  • Bring a great attitude, reliability, and a willingness to learn!

What You’ll Gain:
  • Competitive pay (paid in one lump sum at the end of the season).
  • Hands-on training in customer service, money handling, custodial tasks, and more.
  • Development of valuable social and communication skills.
  • Interview and resume writing workshops with our Job Coaches.
  • An opportunity to work alongside your Casey’s Clubhouse teammates.
  • A cool uniform shirt to wear on the job.

Employment Details:
  • You’ll be an independent contractor, meaning taxes will not be withheld from your paycheck.
  • Employees are paid once at the end of each season for the total hours worked.
  • Job offers will be provided before the start of the season, including your position and schedule.

Flexible Scheduling:
  • Your schedule will be created based on the availability provided in your application.
  • Employees may choose to extend their employment into the fall season.

Interview & Resume Writing Support: Our goal is to provide a fun and supportive place to work while helping you build essential life and job skills. As a Next Inning participant, you’ll have access to:

Want to be a job coach? ​Job Coaches play a vital role in the success of the Next Inning Job Training Program. They work closely with team members in the concession stand, providing hands-on support with customer service, social interactions, money management, food preparation, custodial tasks, and more.
