How old does my athlete need to be to participate?
Athletes participating in the Minor League Division must be at least 5 years old by the start of the season.
Athletes participating in the Major League Division must be at least 16 years old by the start of the season and have played at least one season in the Minor League Division.
What division should my athlete participate in? All new players must sign up for the Minor League Division for at least one season before joining the Major League Division to help us evaluate your athlete. Please inform the director if you'd like to transition to the Major League Division, so the coaches can evaluate the player throughout the season to ensure it will be a good fit.
Returning Minor League Division players wishing to join the Major League Division should notify the director one season in advance so your athlete can be evaluated.
What do I need to bring with me?All you really need to bring is a water bottle and a smile! Everything else is provided for you. If you'd like to purchase additional equipment for your athlete, that’s completely optional. Spikes/Cleats are not allowed on the Casey's Clubhouse field.
What equipment do you use?
Minor League Division: Softball-sized Soft Hit balls and plastic bats. Gloves are optional. Batting helmets are not required.
Major League Division: Baseball-sized Soft Hit balls, metal/wood bats, gloves, and batting helmets.
Should I purchase any baseball equipment? All equipment mentioned above is provided by Casey’s Clubhouse for your athlete to borrow each game. If you'd like to purchase a personal glove, bat, or batting helmet, you’re welcome to do so! Only Major League athletes are required to use a batting helmet.
What should I wear?Athletes should wear comfortable shorts/pants and tennis shoes. Each athlete will receive a jersey and hat at their first game. Spikes/Cleats are not allowed on the Casey's Clubhouse field.
Where do I go when I arrive at my first game? When you arrive at the field, head to the Player Check-In table located in front of the field. You'll receive your jersey and hat, and a volunteer will guide you to your dugout to meet your coach and teammates. After your first game, you can go directly to your dugout for all subsequent games.
How will I know if my game gets delayed or canceled? The best way to stay informed about delays or cancellations is to join your team’s SportsYou account. Casey’s Clubhouse does not send emails regarding game delays or cancellations.
What if I have to miss a game?No problem! If you know you'll miss a game, let your coach know in advance so they don’t include you in the lineup that week.
